What We Do
Rehabilitation & Rehoming
Reptiles are one of the most neglected groups of animals out there. This means countless animals suffering from easily avoidable ailments and high risk illnesses. When we receive such animals, we do our best to give them the proper care they need.
We are not licensed veterinarians, but a small team of experienced caretakers who work full time for the best care.
When needed, we seek licensed clinics for more advanced assistance and technology.
And unlike almost any other sellers in the pet trade, we verify every customer before sending a reptile off, ensuring they meet our standards. We aren't afraid to decline concerning buyers.
We do not accept donations. We are not a non-profit, and have never claimed to be one.
Reptorama is a for-profit company with a business model that allows us to increase our efforts in helping reptiles and caretakers while growing as a strong, sustainable brand.
Due to financial costs and poor conditions of recent rehomes we've received, we now require the current caretaker to present us with a receipt for a vet check-up before animals are surrendered to us.
Boarding
Our boarding program is exclusive to reptiles (tortoises/turtles, lizards, snakes, etc.) and exotic pets (birds, rabbits, pocket pets, etc.). We do not accept dogs and cats in-house at this time, but we do through our house-call boarding.
In-House
When boarding your pets with us in-house, please provide a cage or enclosure for them to sleep in while in our care. With reptiles, we may be able to provide an enclosure for them to stay in if you do not have one to bring. Please feel free to provide any favourite foods or treats for them; we will provide appropriate treats for them as well. If your pet requires any regular medication, please provide them and we will administer them as instructed.
House-Calls
When boarding your pets through house-call, we'll first come for a consultation to meet each other and understand your pets care requirements. Then, we'll visit your house to tend to your buddies while you're away, keeping them cozy in their regular environment! We ask that you please leave us their regular food and any medications they take regularly, along with any instructions needed.
